COVID-19 Guidelines

Guidelines of Community Care at Rahab’s Sisters in light of the changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic in our community:

  • At Rahab’s Sisters we believe that vaccination is one of the best ways to care for our own health and the health of our community.

  • When you are at Rahab’s Sisters you are part of a community. At Rahab’s Sisters we believe that taking steps to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 is Radical Hospitality and a crucial part of keeping ourselves and our community safe.

This is how we express care for our community at Rahab’s Sisters during the pandemic:

  • Rahab’s Sisters’ priority is to the health and safety of our whole community; Guests, volunteers, and staff alike. We start from the assumption that not everyone in our community is vaccinated or have access to a vaccine and with the knowledge that a large majority of severe illness, hospitalization, and deaths from COVID-19 are recorded in unvaccinated and medically vulnerable individuals.

  • Rahab’s Sisters requires all staff, and volunteers to be fully vaccinated, and to wear a mask, covering their nose and mouth, at all times while at Rahab’s Sisters, during all services, at all Rahab’s Sisters events, or any Rahab’s Sisters sponsored or sanctioned event or program including outdoor spaces.

  • Camp delivery services are an extension of the Rahab’s Sisters space, and masks are required while at encampments and in vehicles when others outside of one's immediate household are present.

  • Staff and volunteers, will not request information about a Guest’s vaccination status.

  • While we prefer and encourage Guests to be masked, it is not required.

  • Rahab’s Sisters will closely monitor Federal, State and local jurisdiction guidance, but reserves the right to create more cautious policies on-site in the interest of our Guests and community.

  • Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or exposure to someone positive with COVID-19 remain home and not work or volunteer onsite until confirmation of COVID-19 negative status is obtained.

  • If an individual tests positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of spending time in-person with the Rahab’s Sisters community, we request that you notify us via this secure form.
