Mission and Vision

We envision a world where all people are collectively liberated through social and economic justice, live with dignity, and have abundant, fulfilled lives.

Our mission is to cultivate community with women, trans, and nonbinary people through joy and nourishment of body and mind.

Our Values

Rahab’s Sisters is a community built for connection, support, and a sense of belonging. We know that embodying radical hospitality, radical inclusion, and decolonization are critical to a thriving, just community: radical hospitality enables communities to form, radical inclusion holds communities together, and decolonization sustains just communities.

Radical Hospitality

Radical Hospitality is an ethos of total acceptance, unconditional love, and unbridled generosity. We practice radical hospitality by:

  • Offering a low barrier space where you can be exactly who you are.

  • Starting from yes and exploring possibilities with unconditional acceptance.

  • Prioritizing the journey over the destination.

Radical Inclusion

Radical inclusion holds communities together, invites us to see each other’s full humanity, and compels us to interrupt the inherent biases embedded in our cultures and systems. We practice radical inclusion by:

  • Honoring every person as a vital contributor with precious wisdom, skills, and gifts.

  • Centering the experience of people who are marginalized.

  • Cultivating space and time for relationships to grow.

  • Supporting repair and healing through intentional restorative approaches that move at the pace of trust.

Decolonization

We believe belonging grows when we work side by side to undo harmful systems and build communities rooted in justice. We practice decolonization together by:

  • Engaging in mutual aid and collective care, confronting the legacies of white supremacy, patriarchy, ableism, and racism by choosing solidarity over saviorism.

  • Sharing space across differences, which transforms how we see the world. Diverse friendships broaden our perspective and open hearts and minds to new possibilities.

  • Building relationships rooted in collaboration and shared values, modeling a nonprofit approach that nurtures equity, joy, and liberation over competition.
